Operating Committees
Family Selection (Chair - Teri Morrow)

This committee is tasked with finding and qualifying low-income families in need of decent affordable housing. They recommend families to the HFHIWV Board of Director who select the Partner Families based on need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner. Contact Teri by e-mail.
Family Support (Chair - Open)
This committee works with Partner Families after they have been selected, providing learning opportunities and tracking sweat equity while their houses are being built or rehabbed.
Construction/Site Selection (Duke Martin)

This committee is responsible for selecting building lots and completing construction approved by the board of directors, according to Habitat for Humanity standards. Construction works with Partner Families and volunteers to complete work on the new or rehabilitation construction projects. Contact Duke by e-mail or by phone at 760 608 2869.
Fund Raising (Chair – Bruce Auld)
This committee is responsible for raises money to support the HFHIWV building program. They do this by seeking monetary donations, grants and special funding so that HFHIWV can continue to work toward its goal of eliminating substandard housing in the Indian Wells Valley. Ten percent of the undesignated money raised is sent to HFHI for building homes in other countries.
Church Relations (Chair – Open)
This committee works with the churches of the Indian Wells Valley to build ongoing support for our families and our programs. The “Theology of the Hammer” of founder Millard Fuller is the explanation of the Biblical basis of our ministry.
Public Relations (Chair Jim DeSanti)
Working with other like minded organizations, this committee keeps the Community informed and educated regarding need for decent, affordable housing for all people. Committee members also develop and present programs and press releases for communicating HFHIWV mission, goals, activities and accomplishments to organizations and the community at large.
Finance (Chair – Lois Johnson)

This committee develops financial policy and budget requirements, and provides financial oversight and investment practices to meet non-profit company governance requirements and secure the financial position of the affiliate.
Habitat Working Groups
Habitat Web Team
The web committee is responsible for maintaining the Habitat for Humanity IWV web site. Many skills are requited to produce a quality web site. These skills are provided by a team of talented people. Tom Duncan and Mark Pahuta are skilled videographers that videotape and edit Video for this web site. Jeannettee Bournival, Tom Duncan and Bob Joy are accomplished photographers providing photos for the web site. Forrest Lloyd and Julia Stepro are web designers and builders.
