Burroughs High School Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter
Gary Arnold is a Burroughs High School instructor who has performed a pivotal role in engaging high school students in Habitat for Humanity. Habitat provides a path for students to become involved in the community. When the students are old enough, they are encouraged to help build Habitat homes. The students also participate in fundraising to build the homes. Gary, along with others created a Habitat for Humanity Charter at Burroughs High School.
Currently, Sam Woodman is chair person and Chris Osterman is the adult adviser. They have brought high school students to do “manuel work” like trench backfill, fine grading, and cleanup at 920 and other home sites. The students also performed cleanup at the Habitat warehouse.
